A new month and some quick news

2009-10-01

Hey Folks,

We have some changes coming now - and more soon. We have moved the posting area to the home page. This should make posting easy for veterans and newbies alike.

We have also swapped the city option with an area code. This should help things more smooth as well.

The iBitter team has expanded as of last week to include a few more members. We had our first development meeting a few days ago and things are looking good for the future. We will try to keep everyone posted on the changes and updates as they come through.

Soaring Traffic and Canning the Spam

2009-06-22

Hello Folks,

I am proud to say that we have received some exciting traffic on iBitter since its release! Sadly, with the attention gained over these months, we have attracted the inevitable bots which produce spam. I apologize for the couple of weeks that you have seen the spam on the site. I had some other things to tackle and did not check the site for a week or so.

So, to combat the spammers, I recently installed the familiar Re-Captcha application to the site. I apologize for the slight inconvenience of having to type in that message, but I am sure everyone is used to it by now.

We have some great new functionality coming in the near future. Our development team is working hard to build/test these new components. I will no doubt present them to you all once we have them ready to go.

We have also listed the new known bugs in the "Random Hater" flash application. We are working on resolving those issues.

We want to stress that people read the TOS before posting for your own well being. We at iBitter are not huge fans of censorship but with a site that has such risky content, we hope that everyone uses this with discretion and for entertainment only. One of our planned additions to the site is a "Report Post" option. This may be used for reporting spam as well as misuse. I have to note, that we will ONLY address clear violations of TOS and are not responsible for what individuals post on this site. We will do everything we can to limit the misuse.

We greatly appreciate your bitterness. Thanks!
